The 727 Track Club wrapped up the 2006 track season with several strong performances at the 2006 AAU Junior Olympic meet in Virginia. Over 18,000 athletes competed in the 2005 AAU Junior Olympics across all sports with Track and Field representing one of the largest sports of the festival.

Name Category Nationals Finish

Cody Campbell Youth Boys Pentathlon 4th Place
Hannah Welsh Sub-Midget Girls Pentathlon 8th Place

Congratulations to all of the 727 athletes who qualified for the 2006 AAU Junior Olympics.

AAU State Meet Results

The athletes of the 727 Track Club traveled to the AAU State Championships in Tallahassee on June 23-25 and came away with some superb performances. Many athletes set significant personal bests despite the extreme heat.

Over the 3-days of competition, there were several athletes who delivered performances good enough to advance to the AAU National Junior Olympics in Virginia in late July.

Included with these performances was Cody Campbell who came away as the state champion by finishing first in the pentathlon competition, as well as Nakia Love who was state champion in the long jump.

Congratulations to all of our athletes who prepared for this meet by training hard and did their best during the competition. Your hard work paid off and you should be proud of your performances.
