The 727 Track Club dedicates is time and resources to promoting the sport of track and field to the youth of Pinellas county.  Affiliated with the national Amateur Athletic Union (AAU), our club provides quality training and the opportunity for kids ages 8-18 to compete in local, regional, and national level meets.

Every year, 727 Track Club produces top quality athletes who compete at very high levels, including the National Junior Olympic Games.

We share the ideals of the AAU expressed through their mission and vision statements:

Mission Statement
To offer amateur sports programs through a volunteer base for all people to have the physical, mental, and moral development of amateur athletes and to promote good sportsmanship and good citizenship.

Vision Statement
To offer amateur athletes and volunteers opportunities to develop to their highest level through a national and local network of sporting events. Through participation in AAU, we achieve our dreams as athletes and as valued citizens of our communities.

As our club prepares for the 2008 season, we are again faced with the challenges of raising enough funds to cover our club expenses.  Among many others, the expenses for the 2008 season include:

• Club Scholarships
• New uniforms
• New starting blocks
• Stopwatches
• Training aids (jump boxes, video tape, etc.)
• Increased cost of travel to meets (gas and van rentals)

Though we hold a variety of fundraising activities throughout the year, we depend heavily on the generosity of our sponsors.  As a registered 501c3 organization with the IRS, any donations or sponsorships are tax deductible.
