Congratulations to all of the 727 Track Club athletes who qualified for and traveled to the 2007 AAU Junior Olympics. This meet brings together athletes from across the county competing in a multitude of sports. Just qualifying for Nationals is a significant achievement in itself. To travel to this competition and represent your track club and your state and the National level is an honor.
The athletes who earned a spot on the 727TC Nationals Team include:
Bennie Niles: 800m
Adrian Moody: 4x100m, Long Jump, Triple Jump
Nakia Love: Long Jump, Triple Jump
Diquan Walker: 100m, 200m
Wylan Bernitt: 400m Hurdles, 4x400m
Cody Campbell: 4x100m, 4x400m
Jayson Wine: 4x100m, 4x400m, Triple Jumb
Darius Daniels: 4x100m, 4x400m
Special congratulations go out to Adrian Moody and Nakia Love for their performances at the 2007 Junior Olympics held in Knoxville, Tenneseee. After qualifying at the State championships, both went to the national meet and turned in medal winning performances. Adrian Moody, competing in the Young Men division, finished 5th in the Triple Jump event. Nakia Love, competing in the Youth Girls division, finished 7th in the Triple Jump. Congratulations to all of the athletes for their fine performances!
At the AAU State Track and Field Championships held June 21st - 24th at the Wide World of Sports complex at Walt Disney World in Orlando, several 727 Track Club athletes qualified to compete in the Junior Olympics being held at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville from July 27th to August 4th. In order to compete at this national caliber meet, athletes must finish in the top 4 places in their event at the state meet. As a result, only the very best from all 50 states will be represented at the Junior Olympics.
As a result of their hard work and dedication during the season, 727 Track Club is proud to announce the following athletes finished in the top 4 places at the state meet to earn a spot to compete at the Junior Olympics.
